Dental Surgeon
Dr. Grace Tern graduated with B.D.S. (Honours) and the Koray Feran Prize from King’s College London in 2022. Dr. Grace practised a wide range of procedures at multiple placement locations including Guy’s Hospital (London Bridge), King’s College Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital Sidcup and the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy, where she treated a diverse group of patients and a variety of conditions.
On her return to Singapore, Dr. Grace worked for 2.5 years in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital where she was subsequently appointed as the Dental Officer In-Charge. As the active first-on-call for the Emergency Department’s facial and dental trauma cases, Dr. Grace has experience in providing emergency treatment such as suturing of head and neck lacerations and splinting of dentition. Her time in the hospital has also honed her General Dentistry skills; she is proficient in procedures ranging from crowns and dentures to root canal treatments and wisdom teeth surgeries. Dr. Grace continues to stay abreast of new developments in the field by attending courses and upskilling in areas of implant dentistry and orthodontics.
Dr. Grace also has a huge heart for service and dedicates herself to mission work as she believes that a functional dentition greatly improves one’s quality of life. Dr. Grace practises at HealthServe in her free time, a charity aimed at providing clinical care to the migrant worker community in Singapore. She is also a regular participant of annual mission trips organised by Healthcare Expeditions International, having provided dental treatment to villagers living the rural areas of Philippines and Cambodia.
Beyond work, Dr. Grace loves sports and the great outdoors, writing calligraphy, embroidering, or simply settling down with a good book.
